Which one of these cars hasn't been featured on this blog yet..... Never mind one whale swimming amongst little fishies....
Ah, it's the green Fronte. One that I was dumb enough to pay the full price on Japan Booster Black Friday sale. lol At least it's one of my favorite TLV castings. It took me long enough to finally post this car, but mentioning it to Hugo(fellow collector from GTPlanet) was the motivation I needed apparently. :)
John from the Lamley Group is a fan of this casting. I was skeptical..... until I bought my first Fronte. I think this is my third one. :D
Well, I gave you motivation to write a blog post, does that make me a master motivator? Made my day already.(laughs)
ReplyDeleteBut joke aside, I must agree, there's something about the Fronte's simplicity which makes it so endearing... It's not the greatest casting in TLV history, but again, it shows a nice sense of quality while being so simple in details. After all, I should not complain about simple and cute, as a person who watched shows such as Kaitou Saint Tail when I was younger, haha. And even at "full price" (with Japan Booster, it's still a good price in my mind), it's not that expensive either, from what you told me...
You sure know lot of anime I've never even heard of. lol
DeleteYes, I'd recommend Fronte to any collectors, not just TLV collectors. It's cool.
Haha, what can I say, Portugal was rather keen in all sorts of anime between the late '90s and mid-Noughties... Nowadays, it's not as popular, only a handful of animes are broacast (namely Blue Dragon and that's about it, haha)and the rest of the children's program slots are filled with crappy live-actions shows from Argentina. Nothing against the country itself, but I find no fun or originality in those shows, it's all about girls who sing every 5 minutes and that's about it, haha.
DeleteIndeed it is, and it's a nice unexpensive way to enter the TLV world with an uncommon JDM car. Maybe one day TLV could create a first-generation Suzuki Cervo (aka the SC100 in export markets), that would be quite nifty.
I do adore older Suzuki's, especially Cervo. Very cool cars!
DeleteIndeed, TLV's own Alto models are also very cool. An older Cervo would make for a great addition to the TLV line. And maybe who knows, perhaps a Cappuccino could join the TLV Neo line as a nice bonus...
DeleteNot a big fan of Cappuccino, but Cervo would be epic. *drool*
DeleteI dunno, the Cap could look good too. Besides, it was the very first kei-car that I've seen in real-life, so I have a special place in my heart for it, haha.
DeleteBut yes, a classic Cervo/SC100 would definitely be up TLV's alley, it's the type of car that they have great credentials when it comes to their execution in scale model form...
I can totally respect your take on the Cuppacino. When it comes to casting wishlists, personal history & sentiments often do come into play, and in my opinion, as they should. :)
