Tarmac Works illest "Super Nine" RWB 993

I saw preorder for this.... Maybe on Twitter, maybe on Instagram.  I want to say from the account of master customizer Joe-san.  Anywho, with shipping, it was $34.90, direct from Tarmac Works.  I got it today, it was preordered on August 30th, so it took little over 4 months.  TOTALLY WORTH IT:

It looks so sweet.  There was something rattling around inside the case & I was fearfully looking for broken part loose inside?  It was the "limited edition" card with serial # printed on it.  #MONEY

New & Sold Out from Tarmac Works: GreenLight Pennzoil Nissan Skyline GT-R(BNR34)

I got mine from Tarmac Works, but I believe you can still get them on eBay for cheaper, at least if you are in the U.S.  I'm on my way out of the hobby, selling off my collection, so I don't know what the heck I'm doing with this thing, but here it is.  An impulse buy I suppose.  :p

I paid $20.40, but $11.50 of that was shipping.  One of the headlamp's bit crooked in the macro shot, but I think it's really nicely done.  If shipping wasn't involved. lol

Tarmac Works 1/64 Toyota Supra Racing Version White - Hong Kong Minicar Festival Exclusive Model

Limited to 480 pieces.  "Hong Kong Exclusive", but they had few available to us on their website.  RLC Hot Wheels with 3,000 pieces are sometimes hard to get.  Ignition Model with 999 pieces were kinda crazy.........  This Supra is 480 pieces.  It's a limited, limited edition!

I'm not gonna lie, while I do have a soft spot for Tarmac Works, this isn't impressive for $20+(scarcity of #'s released do more than make up for it IMO).  It's very cleanly detailed though.  While it's no TLV, it's not Asian GreenLight either.  Personally, I find it comparable to early Kyoshos.

PART TWO: Ignition Model 1/64 Pandem R35 GT-R Gun Metallic

Here's Part 2 with lot less pics, featuring the black/gun metallic.

One of the best looking, if not the best mesh wheels I've seen in 1/64, but it still doesn't look quite right.  I think it's the 3D shape that's hard to achieve, because the mesh looks flat?  It's not the same style rims, but Enif has impressed me before.  

Frigging amazing.  Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled programming:

PART ONE: Ignition Model 1/64 Pandem R35 GT-R Blue Metallic(Tarmac Works Exclusive)

Yes, another gimmick. Hehe....  Fairly routine presentation around these parts.  I had one of these TLV wing roof  trailers laying around, I couldn't resist.  :p

Okay, a restart back in the cases:

Beautiful high quality cases.It may seem similar, but WAY better than one's I've seen from M2, Spark, Kyosho, etc.  My only complaint, cardboard sleeve are WAY too tight!  I had heck of time slipping them off to get the cars out.  It requires bit of wiggling towards the end.  lol

Cases are nice, but the bases are quality never seen at this scale.  Beautiful.

Same badges, same "999 pcs" markings on the back for both cars.

Post on this TLV transporter is for another day, but man, I enjoyed showcasing these IG Pandem GT-Rs in here.  Something different amirite.

I've said from the beginning I thought the Tarmac Works exclusive blue metallic was my pick.  After messing around with the blue & gun metal, that opinion has not changed.  Cooler looking rims helps.

I'm really impressed with IG right now.  While I wasn't pleased with this "limited to 999 pcs per color" B.S., this is an amazing quality work & they delivered this on schedule.  It's putting Bugzees64 in a pretty bad light right now(more $$$, less quality & delays, delays, delays in some cases).  Also, special thanks to Tarmac Works for making these models available.  Honestly, I didnt think I had much of chance at scoring one of these, let alone two.  I was even able to order one of their limited edition Toyota Supra.  Thank you!
