I recently acquired the Coca~Cola Volume 1 from Japan Booster. It is pricey($69.99, shipped), but the cool set featured variant of the Nissan Diesel delivery truck I didn't have before. Since I already had the main version of this truck, I had no interest in this "2 Models" set until: 1) I saw how cool this Crown stationwagon looked & 2) Noticed how the Nissan Diesel truck in the set actually had different paint job from the one I have.
LV-92a delivery truck is one of my first TLVs. Those tiny little crates of cokes you can load on the back of the truck, they really sold it to me. I was collecting mainly Hot Wheels back then, and they are fun, but man, just look at this truck. It comes with a delivery guy, hand truck & bunch of crates with 1/64 coke bottles in them. It's just the best. :)
To me, it's absurd that it took me 300+ posts even before this blog feature this truck, but better late than never. I hope you enjoy the pics, and if I were you, I'd have one of these Coke trucks in your collection!
Left is from the set, LV-92a on the right.
Guy with black jacket is the guy from the "2 Models" set. Both trucks come with the hand truck + crates of cola.
1/64 hand-truck. Toe-plate attach to its frame in two ways: When ready for action, in front, in 90 degree angle.
When storing it in the back of the truck, toe-plate attaches to the back of the hand-truck frame.
When setting up these little crates for photos, I'm not gonna lie, f-word was mentioned numerous times(lol). Here are shots with a quarter(25 cents coin) to show how tiny these little things are. While I'm wrestling with the crates, delivery guy figure would get knocked down, crates fall off from the truck, it was a mess. *tear*
Once again, my hats off to Tomytec. I consider these trucks to be one of the most unique 1/64 diecasts. Great job!
Great job, super staging, great pictures as usual!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, your photos makes you want to have these models...
They're in the back of my mind since a long time, but are hard to find.
I love your description of the operation of the trolley, the story of the loading of the crates... and the battle that resulted! I sympathize, lol!
Thank you so much for the kind words Bertrand! And yes, I am not at all joking about staging those microscopic Coca Cola crates. lol
ReplyDeleteI just checked eBay for the LV-92a(single truck w/accessories & one figure) & you are right. Currently, I don't even see one listed. Three in the "sold" search went for roughly $50, which is much higher than when I got it in 2013. I hope you find one in the near future. It would make a worthy addition to your collection! :)
