Matchbox World Class Ferrari F40

Your absolute favorite car, you could never afford to own one.  I think F40 is my "dream car".  lol

Matchbox World Class Porsche 959

Matchbox World Class Porsche 959

Porsche 959 castings.  Is this the only 959 casting I own?  Quite possibly.  I may still have the Hot Wheels casting, but I think I may have sold that one.

Not really my cup of tea, but I got these when I first started collecting 5, 6 years ago.  Very unique Matchbox release.

Hot Wheels Walmart Mail-In Wonder Woman Invisible Jet

So I've been wanting this one for while.  I just didn't have $100+ it commands on eBay.  Thankfully, the latest Walmart mail-in offer was to buy $20 worth of select Hot Wheels cars & get one of these in the mail(I think the shipping was additional $3 & change).

Some collectors say these things are nonsense.  It's a card with nothing but blister on it.  Of course, there were many collectors like me who found them cool too, or it wouldn't be selling for over hundred bucks on eBay.  Some background story on back of the card:

I believe the above is the "April Fools" joke by the Mattel.   San Diego Comic-Con version had similar card to it, but with blister bubble thing inside like the Walmart version.  Speaking of blister bubble thing inside:

Certainly not as cool as the original, but still very interesting addition to the collection!

Matchbox World Class Ferrari Testarossa

Matchbox World Class Ferrari Testarossa

One of my two favorite Ferraris.  This car & F40 were "the" Ferrari(s) when I was a kid.  More you learn about cars, more you appreciate the F40, but I still have a soft spot for Testarossa.

Tomica Limited Vintage NEO LV-N152a '98 Nissan Skyline GT-R Autech Version Patrol Car(Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department)

Wait.  What are those things in the baggy....

No.  I am not doing this again.  Posting this car just plain:

According to Tomytec, this patrol car is based on the 40th anniversary Skyline, the 4-door Skyline GT-R from the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show.  Only 422 were known to have been made, I doubt many of them became police cars.

Also interesting note from the Tomytec page: Brake discs/rotors will not turn with the wheels.  I don't really care, personally.

OMG, them wheels.  Just night & day difference from the typical super cheap wheels TLVs often comes equipped with.

I think this car came out really good.  Especially without the glitter TLV paint they used on the silver Autech.  I like it so much, I borrowed my buddy Jarrod's pics from his 4-door GT-R patrol car.  His pics looks SO good.

Beautiful casting.  Exceptional finish for 1/64 scale.

Spark - Porsche 956 No.1 Winner Le Mans 1982 J. Ickx - D. Bell

Spark Porsche 956

Last couple of months, I've had missing mail, even missing packages(and I have a P.O. Box!).  Month of July isn't starting off great either.  I've had bunch of stuff damaged, thankfully mostly just cases on the outside, with cars surviving unscathed.  One exception was this Porsche.  Pieces from busted up display did result in one noticeable scratch on the car.  I'm not a fan of the USPS right now.  I even made this tweet as a joke:

Just in case you are too young to get the "Gone in 60 Seconds" reference(rolleyes), this is the scene:

Anywho, pics:

Jason from GTPlanet gave us a heads up on this.  Very cool base attachment design used by Spark.  Screws, and plastic adapter pieces suck real bad amirite.  Check out the link, he has way better pictures on this.  Too bad mine was totally ruined by U.S. Mail.  *tear*

Spark went ahead without licensing to use Rothmans name($$$? Tobacco?).  I feel like it could've been a pretty special release with their name on the car.  Still very cool release, and has decent detailing.  I think the quality's almost comparable to Kyosho models.
