GO! with MOON - Mooneyes Auto Haulers 1968 Chevrolet C60 Truck & 1976 Chevrolet Silverado Stepside by M2 Machines

I had to have it.  $33 shipped, seen it as low as $25 shipped since.  I'm fond of Silverado casting by Hot Wheels & I was bit glad to see Auto World & M2 come out with their versions.  These M2 stepside's looked good to me before, but I pulled the trigger when I saw two more things I liked had come into play:  "Auto-Haulers" combo series & "Mooneyes" livery.  

 

While I'm trying to shed my collection, I couldn't help myself with this one.  Dang dude.

On a Hunt for Mini Bosozoku.......

I rarely see must-have Hot Wheels anymore, at least retail wise, but Manga Tuner was one of those.  I still think the roof looks bit awkward, but overall, cute little "デフォルメ"(Japanglish for "deformed") of the Mad Manga casting.

After I found the Manga Tuner, I saw another little guy on the way out.  It's kind of amazing you are starting to see these super JDM vehicles on American hot wheels pegs.  Little kei-car trucks you very rarely see in the States.  I was just admiring how Japanese the デフォルメ Manga Tuner was, too.  That one reminded me little bit of ChoroQ's.

Let us give props to John from Lamley blog.  From cars like these to Hot Wheels Silhouettes series Skyline Silhouette, you can really see Tomica influence in some Mattel cars today.  John being a fan of Tomica Limited Vintage cars, and having huge American audience with his blog, I think these JDM cars & craft of Tomica really caught eyes of not just the 1/64 collectors, but also designers.  In my opinion,  Mattel's better for it.  If anybody from M2 Machines reading this, I have an idea for you guys.  JDM Ground Pounders series.

For those of you not familiar with Ground Pounders, this is what they look like:

Now imagine JDM series with vintage Skylines, RX-3, old Celicas, etc., etc.  I wouldn't over do it with the production numbers.  Limited run, let the secondary market go crazy.  For design, you can look to Tomica in this department also.  Check out the Choro Q's.

This is for my buddy Jarrod.  I saw this while looking for my Manga Tuner & I thought of him.  Unfortunately, it seems to be a peg warmer.  I saw three of these & nothing else from the Japan Historics.  lol

Today's Finds: M2 KPGC10 Race Car & MBX Subaru SVX

After seeing .45ACP ammunition on sale, swung by the stores only to find them sold out.  :(  I did see some interesting stuff in the toy aisle, like this KPGC10 racing livery hakosuka Skyline from M2 Machines.  

Pretty neat looking model, especially for those who missed out on Kyosho releases years ago.  Then I found these things:

There were bunch!  I took three for giveaways, mostly randomly given away to my eBay customers.  If you read this blog & are buying something from me, make sure to tell me via "contact seller".  Bonus cars are guaranteed to people who visited this blog.

Much props to Matchbox here.  Maybe not the most popular, but for 90's JDM fans, this was a memorable car.  As always, I appreciate variety & this would be great addition for Matchbox collectors in my opinion.

I didn't buy the M2, but bought the rest.  I'll keep looking for .45ACP on sale.  :D

Sold this on eBay tonight.  Gold detail outside, gold interior inside.  I had to take few pictures.

Friday: In the Mail & Random Finds

I swung by the post office to pickup my mail yesterday & found these cars waiting for me:

I'm a fan of earlier Fast & the Furious series & of Paul Walker, so wanted a Mitsubishi Eclipse in 1/64 scale for some time.... I think Johnny Lightning, no, Racing Champions offered it once, but it was very shortlived & secondary market prices on eBay were often too steep for me.

This very handsomely done Hot Wheels model with Real Riders I paid $9.94 on eBay(shipped).  I think the Ford Escort from the same series I have hanging on the wall at work, I got for $5 from a store?  So I had to pay roughly $5 more for this one, but it's worth it.  I can't find it locally.

RLC Raptor, I paid $45 on ToyPeddler(shipped).  While being a member of RLC, it was impossible to get one(numerous issue with that club & website).  I'm actually lukewarm on this one.....  I don't know, impulse buy?  These typically go for more on eBay.   :(

These things, I saw at stores while shopping for something else Friday night:

I've been looking for Yokohama series by M2, but I haven't "hunted" in a long time & I never see anything cool & new in stores anymore.  These Coca Cola series cars are interesting though....

My personal favorite right here.  Since I'm selling off my collection & not building it, I didn't bother picking it up($10!?).  It's beautiful though.  I have similar model by Johnny Lightning I'm definitely keeping.  :)
