Jada JDM Tuners - NOT 1/64

I love the JDM vehicle selections from this series.  I am a Supra fanboy.  Having said that, lot of sellers are advertising these as 1/64 scale cars & I finally, finally, finally ran into some at Target yesterday?

Ignore this first photo & go to the second pic.

In person, this is closer to what I saw.  If Supra was the size of the Chevy Suburban, it maybe close to 1/64.  It was huge, but I have handful of Jada stuff & that maybe typical for them.  Too bad, because I didn't pick up any.

I'm pretty sure way more kids & collectors want it in 1/64 than the numbers of kids & collectors who wants it in this mystery scale.  I hope Jada comes around someday & start making way more money.  They got the cars right, they just need to go with the winning size!  ;)

Took me a long time to get this one.  Not a collector of Jada, so this must've been the longest hunt for a Jada.  lol  I've been interested in this truck before, but it became irresistible after seeing this feature on Sixty Four Ever Diecast.  Pics:

Jada Dub City 1987 Buick Grand National.... and the RLC?

jada dub city buick grand national

I don't have lot of Jadas in my collection.  Most of the time, their version of "1/64" scale seems too large, and no offense to Jada fans, but the build quality & casting style generally leaves me bit disappointed.  However, there are some, even with all the pros & cons, I do enjoy having around.  This Grand National is certainly one of them.

In my book, certainly have more charm than any Hot Wheels version of the Grand National.  Particularly this Red Line Club version from the Real Riders series.

Looks pretty cool here.....

As you can see, they totally failed with the ambitious removable hood.  It doesn't come close to sitting right on the car.  *facepalm*

Jada Dub City Kustoms '65 Ford Econoline Pickup

Jada Dub City Kustoms '65 Ford Econoline Pickup

I'm not sure if the "CLTR 148" is a real life vanity license plate, or what CLTR stands for, but I'm sure it has interesting story behind it.

I got this Econoline truck fairly recently, and although I've been collecting for five years now, I didn't recall seeing this casting before.  Not a huge surprise to find it listed on TTP(the Toy Peddler) by Kinkyrasta69.  I always see couple of cars I've never even heard of in his listings(recommended seller).

As usual, Jada's 1/64 is not a 1/64........... at least it's highly doubtful.  I love approaching this hobby with variety in mind, and while Jada certainly adds it, their scale is generally not even close to being accurate.  *cough* you won't see lot of jada in this blog*cough*
