2015 Ford Mustang GT

I was bit surprised to see this red hot wheels 2015 Mustang GT before I saw the real thing.

However, this was not the first 1/64 2015 Mustang I found at Walmart.  This was.

Maisto AllStars 2015 Ford Mustang GT 

I want to say that these Maisto All Stars are about $3.  While it is short on quality compared to the base/mainline Auto World cars, which are also $3, I do quite like the racing look of this casting.

She's a Irene for sure(leaning in the bottom pic).

I can't wait to get my hands on the '15 Mustang GT by Auto World!

Auto World Vintage Muscle Series - 1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL

While I don't really go on the "hunt" for Hot Wheels anymore, I do occasionally go on a mini-hunt while on a road trip, or picking up things around town.  I found this car on the night......  when I couldn't find anything else to buy.  lol

It's Auto World, so you know it'll feature accurate 1/64 scale & great detail job.  It was very sad to see Johnny Lightning leave the market, but I think it's fair to say that Auto World has filled the void quite capably.

I love Greenlight, but I think they better step up their game.  It's looking pretty close right now.......

Hot Wheels "Mystery Models" '66 Chevy Nova

While I fail to see much merit in these Mystery Models, the mystery of finding some random & (hopefully)cool Hot Wheel car hidden inside a bag may be intriguing to little kids, I don't know.  I believe this little car was about $1.09 at Walmart.

Cars are accompanied by a sticker, but that's about it for the Mystery Models outside their suspenseful packaging........  But it's not all that suspenseful, because as most collectors know, selection number of the car is stamped right on the front of the bag(w/complete line-up on the back).

From this 2014 series, one car I had to have was this '66 Chevy Nova.  Number 08/ of 12.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Hot Wheels Modern Classics - Datsun 240Z

Cool little JDM representation from the Hot Wheels "Modern Classics" series.

I'm not sure of the original MSRP on these Modern Classics cars, but they can be pretty rare & spendy in the secondary market these days.  I personally love the extra detailing Mattel gave these cars, cool wheels, and also the killer paint job.

Tomica Limited Vintage(TLV) Mr. K's Selection Datsun 510 4-Door Sedan

This 2009 release originally sold for around $13 in Japan.

TLV has many versions of the Bluebird, but this is the only 510 I've ever seen.  This hard-to-find car came from the eBay seller crosssea222(aka Japan Booster).  It was sold for around $25~$28(Summer of 2014).
