Hot Wheels Custom '01 Acura Integra GSR

I was looking forward to this one, but for me, it's a meh.  Roof looks flat.

I'd be surprised if this casting saw the success of the 1990 Civic.  In my opinion.  That Civic casting was slick!  Still, Civic Si would take the cake.  God, that thing is sweet.

Aoshima Grachan Collection Series 9: LB Works Kenmeri 2DR(C110) / グラチャン コレクション LBワークスケンメリ

When I picture vintage bosozoku in my head, this here is one of the styles that pops up in my mind.  I don't ever recall seeing one in real life, except in the related manga comic books.  For those of you who do not recognize the pair, they are modified Nissan Skylines.  1972.

I was really looking forward to this one.  I finally found a couple, but I gotta say, I like the original release a lot better(see bottom pic).  

Painted taillights go a long way....

Tomica Limited Vintage LV-CKB02 Crazy Ken's Car Club Vol. 02 Cedric Ebi-Mark SPL(Stock Car Race Vers.)

I like this relatively new series.  I have sort of half-assed post of the Crazy Ken's Car Club Volume One here.  

Before we get started, I would translate Ebi "Mark" as Ebi=Lobster Mark=Logo.  Lobster Logo, referring to the sponsor name found on the wrench placed on the rear quarter.  "SPL", probably short for special, but who the heck knows.

I'm really warming up to the Snake Motor line of TLVs, and also now Crazy Ken's.  This particular release mates the super hip style of Crazy Ken's with cool vintage Nissan Cedric casting, which I've always liked.  End result's a must-have, and no surprise from me there:

Already looking forward to Volume Three.  :D

CM's Lancia Delta HF Integrale: Post brought on by..... Tomytec??? LV-N130a + LV-N130b

It all started on a lazy Thursday morning, on my day off.  While sleeping in, browsing the hot wheels thread on GTPlanet still in bed, I noticed a heads up by one of the TLV collectors on there.  He posted a pic showing these two cars displayed by Tomytec(TLV):

Scheduled release is in September('16) according to Tomytec product page.

I'm sure lot of collectors went " 'Bout time!  Chyah!".  Not this one.  I was like *smh*.  Let me explain:

I LOVE TLV.  I LOVE Lancia Delta Integrale.  However, how I saw this was a wasted effort, because this already exist:

While these are no longer sold(CM's brand is long gone), they are not hard to find on eBay.  If you encounter shortage, just stay patient & they'll pop up again for $20 or so.  The new TLV version will more than likely cost just as much.  

CM's did such an outstanding job with this casting, I honestly don't see TLV surpassing this by much, if any.  I just wish that TLV spent the time & energy producing castings based on something truly rare, or may not exist yet.  That's just me.  Anywho, here's the rally version of the same CM's casting:
