Tomica Limited Vintage: The Japanese Car Era 日本車の時代 Vol. 7 - Toyota Sports 800 1965 All Japan Automobile Championship(Funabashi CCC Race) Tojiro Ukiya Vers.

I thought this was going to be SO amazing.  It's a neat car, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me.  I think red looks better on this casting, too.  Maybe in the near future, I'll go after stock/red.

I read little bit about Ukiya when this TLV release was made available for preorder.  Quite an interesting character, also up & coming racer, but unfortunately, he died at the young age of 23 as the result of an accident on the legendary Suzuka race track.   He was driving an Honda S600 belonging to the Dome founder Minoru Hayashi on a practice run.  For the record, he crashed trying to avoid people walking on the track.  Jeez.
