Kyosho NISMO Collection Series(Lottery): Prize "G" Red Nissan GT-R NISMO N Attack Package

Kyosho NISMO Collection Series(Lottery): Prize "G" Red Nissan GT-R NISMO N Attack Package

So I finally got a hold of my first Kyosho R35 GT-R & I really like it  Good looking model.

TLV GT-Rs are still the one to beat, but I actually prefer this one to the Oversteer version.  Oversteer has much nicer detailing, & better quality parts, but I always thought it looked little tall, or bulky.  Kyosho GT-R look sleek as you'd expect the car to be.

Yes, detailing lacks, but when you consider the domestic pricing in Japan(¥800 or $8), you can get past that.  Sweet minicar for $8!

Still sore that when TLV released Toyota Century, they went with the current gen model(lol at the last comment I made in that post).  Vintage classics have so much more style!

Kyosho NISMO Collection Series(Lottery): Prize "D" Red NISMO 400R or R33 Skyline GT-R to me lol

These two "400R" cars are the reason I bought this set from Japan Booster.  The complete lot for $98(shipped) looked like this:

I really wanted the stylish yellow 400R & the red, I also have never seen their R35 GT-R in person, so I figured this would be alright to just buy the whole lot.  Also, I'm not gonna lie, those Z-Tunes look hella tight amirite.

I have something like 16 cars I want to share, but no such luck tonight.  I'm going to settle for posting just one of my two #1 choices(sorry TLVs...) & go with the red 400R.

While the quality isn't really comparable to TLVs, neither are the price tags.  These Kyoshos probably cost me about half of what TLV would've set me back.  I'm very happy with this first car from the set.  :)

GreenLight M&J Toys Exclusive 警視庁(Tokyo Metropolitan Police) 2015 Nissan GT-R AKA R35

I haven't been impressed by GreenLight Nissan GT-R.  If you collect TLVs, Oversteers, it's hard to get excited about the GreenLight GT-R casting.  They sometimes arrive with rough detailing, fingerprints inside the windshield, scuff marks, etc.  Yes, they generally MSRP for $6~$7, that's $10, $20 less than more premium brands from Japan, but I just find them very sloppy sometimes.

So this GT-R, I really considered keeping this one carded, as I wasn't a fan of the Black Bandit version I opened.  However, since this one was M&J exclusive release(you'll never see it in stores), I figured it'd be more beneficial to this blog & other collectors if I took closeups of this one, loose.  Pics!:

Crooked roof mounted police lights. lol  My biggest gripe: Taillights.  Very sloppy & all three GreenLight GT-Rs I've seen have taillights with off-centered white dots.  Totally ruins the look of these cars in my opinion.

Credit where it's due, wheels are fantastic.  Makes some TLV wheels look stupid.  I paid $14 for this R35(shipped).  I think it's overpriced, but it is secondary market price on a limited release, so it is what it is.  If you are fan of Japanese "patrol car" castings, you have to do it I think.

Money shot.  Trust me, it won't look this good in real life.  An optical illusion.  lol
