Hot Wheels RLC Car Culture Premium Boxed Set

Hot Wheels RLC Car Culture Premium Boxed Set 510

This was the final straw.  My enthusiasm for this hobby's been low for while.  TLV with their overpricing, GreenLight with high marketing/dodgy quality, etc., etc.  It just wore me out.  After spending over an hour trying to order this car from RLC website, fighting timeouts & glitches, only to witness it sellout & having to pay $100 for a set on eBay, it was time to call it quits.  I'm not sorry, it was fun while it lasted.

My exit from minicar collecting will be gradual, because I still have so many cars to catalog & so much preorders left pending.  lol  Let us get back to the cars:

Here's the car on the cover.  Car that everybody wants.  Blue BRE Datsun Bluebird/510.  I bought the set just to get this car.

  2. The ones I like above are the Camaro and the Datsun Bluebird. You had to buy the whole set just for that one car? Thanks for the share.

    1. I found a set for $100, which believe it or not was a decent price for the complete set? I bought it, sold everything except for the 510 on eBay, made about $70 back. This was the cheapest way I could figure to get the BRE Datsun 510/Bluebird. lol

      Thank you for reading!! :)

    2. Yeah your right on that. At least you got most of your money back with selling the other ones.

  4. Sad to see you go, you will be missed. Think you have of the best blogs out there in this space, but I do think we all need a break sometimes to put things back in perspective. Maybe you will find that there are certain things about this hobby which still make you happy - and that you can steer away from the things that don’t? Or maybe that you are better off just moving on to something else. Either way, thanks for the time you put into all of it and best of luck with your future endeavors whatever they may be.

    1. Thank you so much! I still have so much just in existing preorders, so I'll be around for while, but I do plan on moving on soon after.

I had fun with both collecting & blogging (I use the term loosely lol), so it was my pleasure sharing the pics & info with you guys. Thanks again!
