One thing I don't like about this CR-X: Rear spoiler.
What a pain in the @$$. Earlier production CR-X from TLV came with these things installed(LV-N22b pictured), but I guess this is our job now.
Problem I have with Tomytec on this is not so much that they tasks us to install the spoiler, but how little help they offer. Here's your instruction. On the side of a box. No locator pin(s), use a glue, use your judgement, good luck.
First challenge was actually cutting the spoiler off the plastic runners. I don't have those precision nippers plastic modelers use, so I had to make do with sharp box knife.
After cutting one side that had the single runner attached, I cut the frame in half to create some room. I just wiggled the other side free after that.
Couple of nubs left from the runners, I shaved them off with the box knife(pic is "before").
After shaving it off, I attached the spoiler using only kind of glue I generally have on-hand: Super Glue.
When installing, I went by the diagram on the box. Flat surface of the spoiler at the top. Positioning & centering the spoiler was a bit of challenge. It took me three tries to center it, as first couple of tries, it looked the spoiler was off-center by a millimeter or less. :(
It is nice to see these old CR-Xs again. 80's goodness.
