Hot Wheels Heritage "Real Riders" - Ford Transit Supervan

hot wheels ford transit supervan

I'm not the biggest fan of these Heritage series cars, but they are certainly 100 times more interesting to me than Star Wars, or the upcoming Super Mario line(and I grew up on Nintendo).  Those Super Mario cars.  I don't know how they combined couple of things I like:  Hot Wheels & Super Mario, and come up with nothing I want.  OK, I've gone off-topic.  Here is one of the newer Hot Wheels I do like:

Greenlight 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T

Greenlight 1967 Dodge Coronet R/T
This thing followed me home, when I swung by Toys R Us on the way home.......  Not many of us have one of those stores on the way home, but I do.  lol

Is it just me, or do the front grille look too smooth?  I know I griped about the level of the quality of the 1967 Ford Custom, but here, quality seem fine for six bucks.  Very neat casting.

Before I get started;  I love Greenlight.  I LOVE.  Having said that, I wish they followed this amazing selection of 1967 Ford Custom casting with little bit more pride in the delivery.  I very well could be alone on this, and to be fair, I would guess that most American collectors are content with this level of quality & the $6 price tag.  Me, I think either the price is tad high, or quality level tad low.  It's sort of rough looking.....

Perhaps this here is why it costs extra:

Personally, I don't care about the opening hood or doors.  I'd rather see them spend the money toward higher quality instead.  Sorry, that's just me.  :)

Forgive me - Not 1/64: AUTOart 1/18 Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car(Carbon Fiber) & Race Car(white)

I only collect 1/64 scaled cars.....  but that doesn't mean I don't buy other scale diecast cars, occasionally.  I used to be a big Gran Turismo fan, and this is one of the very few 1/18 scale cars I long desired.  :D  I recently nearly bought the original release(must be getting close to ten years old now) of the carbon fiber version for around $300, but I'm glad I didn't.  AUTOart actually re-released these cars this year, and while it wasn't cheap, for the price of what would have cost me for one, I was able to buy both the carbon fiber test car & the white race car version.

First one from AmiAmi actually was actually missing the gear shifter part, so I had to ship that one all the way back to Japan for refund, then buy a replacement on eBay.  Carbon fiber one w/white background is the one with the missing shifter.  lol

I apologize for this 1/18 interruption!

Greenlight Hot Pursuit Florida Highway Patrol: 2008 Dodge Charger, 2008 Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor + 1990 Mustang(FHP) & 1988 Pontiac TransAm from diorama

greenlight 1990 Mustang(FHP) & 1988 Pontiac TransAm

First the diorama.  Rarely do I see two cars I'd like to have in one set:

That front-right tire will not help the TransAm get away.

From what I've seen, Florida Highway Patrol cars are some of the most popular Greenlight police cars.  I can totally see why!
