Ebbro 1/64? What..... Also some Choro-Q Preorder

Since the decision to quit collecting, I hardly check the pegs for any hot wheels anymore.  Latest Ignition Model, Tomica.... blah.  Still, if I see a interesting preorder, I still look.  

Today, I was on amiami to pay for INNO64 Civic I got roped into when I saw Ebbro 1/64.  With Ignition Model, INNO, TSM, etc., joining the 1/64 market, it seems that Ebbro was not to be left behind.  This is the amiami page I came across:

So far, I only see numbers of Civic & NSX.  I have never owned any of the Ebbro diecast/resins, so I can't comment on their quality, or even reputation.  Just wanted to share what I saw with the collectors.

While I wasn't about to commit to more 1/64 diecasts, I couldn't say no to these little pull-back motor cuties:

Seibu Keisatsu Skyline GT Choro-Q(aka Penny Racers).  These are too cool.  I think I saw these first on Twitter & also a link from my buddy Jarrod.  I decided to check these out while on amiami too & I had to preorder them.  They are priceless!

Kenmeri Skyline 2000GT.  Also a no-brainer.

I'm not gonna lie, if these were still available come 2019, if I had extra cash laying around, I'm getting a couple more.  Again, preorder page is here.  

Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary 50 Car Display Case feat. Exclusive '83 Chevy Silverado

Another Hot Wheels purchase from a guy who doesn't collect them anymore.  lol  I kinda wanted to check them out if it was under $50(it was right at $50 from amazon, free shipping).  Even if I wasn't impressed with it, I figured I could stash it as investment, or give it away as a gift.

**I forgot to mention - These displays were supposed to be sold also through Walmart, Target & "other specialty stores"**

Initially, I wasn't even going to open this thing, but long story short: Thanks to yet another mishandling by USPS, I was forced to open it to inspect this one for damage.  Thankfully, not a scratch.  *phew*

Back & side.

On the back are the holes to hang the display on the wall.  Very cool.

Storable stand/feet if you want to display the cars on the desk, or counter.  Brilliant.

When I first saw the hot wheels 50 car display, it reminded me of this Tomica display case:

Hobby Exclusive GreenLight Bigfoot #1 The Original Monster Truck 1974 Ford F-250

This one didn't even come home.  It'll just hang out at work(cut the blister neatly, put the thing back in).

When I was a kid, back in Japan, in the late 80's, we referred to all monster trucks as "bigfoot".  Only after I moved to the U.S. I discovered that Bigfoot was one of the trucks, but these lifted trucks with gigantic tires were called "monster trucks".  I really dug them as a kid.  

I used my pathetic Moto G5 Plus phone to take these pics & it is the worst.  This camera has the ability to focus on the background without fail, leaving the subject blurred.  What a piece of ****.  I need a iPhone so bad.  *Took another pic(08/27/18)

Anywho.  Credit where due, GreenLight did a amazing job with these.  It was $11 shipped from eBay & worth every frigging penny in my opinion.

I'm sorry for the dirty keyboard.  I just cleaned it earlier in the day, too.  Jesus christ.  :(

Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment Deadpool Chimichanga Truck

I am a fan of the ice cream truck casting, even if this is the only one ever to make it onto this blog:

I'm also a fan of Deadpool.  When I saw him inside the chimichanga truck, this one was a no-brainer.  If you compare the Deadpool figure inside to the ice cream guy inside the creepy truck, also the driver seat sections from the each truck, you'll see the plastic mold has been updated.  Also slight differences in the triangle windows, roof mounted vents(grilled vs smooth).  So, both casting & base seems to have gone thru some modification.  Check out what orangetrackdiecast has to say about the latest update to this casting, too.
