Walmart: March 8th 2019

Nothing crazy, but some interesting finds today:

I didn't really go through the dump bin, but on the hook were three "Tesla Roadster with Starman".  Different card than of the ones I saw online, but it's still a neat find.  I took two.  I think both will go to my nephews.

Did not buy this.  Just wanted to share the pic.  R32 & exclusive color 240Z amirite.

You know with like thousand+ minicars & hot wheels in my collection(probably), I've yet to have TV Series Batmobile loose?  It's such a popular release & I never have duplicate to uncard one.  I might do it this time, but I'll probably gift the other one actually.

Finally the disappointment of tonight's haul.  I see this thing for $2.14, see the beautiful NSX on the left, green vintage RX-7 + CR-X on the right, I jump on them.  

I walk over to the price scanner & they are actually $4($3.88 or something like that).  I ended up putting back the one with the NSX.  :(  Frog green original RX-7 always hits the spot for me, I had to bring it home.  Speaking of, I've yet to post the old school Tomica Limited RX-7 on here, at least not the tree frog green one(this is yellow).

Walmart Haul... With Some Help.

Got lucky today.  Stopped by Walmart on the way home to pickup few things.  As I'm passing by the toy section, I hear someone going through the dump bin, so I know they got some new stuff.  

Collector's name was David & he was super friendly.  Immediately asks which cars I was after.  Since I don't actively collect anymore, I barely remembered it was some kind of Japanese car.  "Uhh.... JDM?"  As soon as I said it, he hands me the 300ZX(this was the car I was looking for lol).  

As I'm thanking him, I noticed that he had set aside ZAMAC R33 Skyline.  He says he's on the fence if he should get it or not, so I start looking for one of my own & fails.  By then, he had decided to keep the ZAMAC(after another collector showed up & he wanted it, too), but when he saw I couldn't find one, he just gave it to me.  Nice guy.  Thanks David!

First, pic of the 300ZX from my childhood.  Same color as the first one I ever saw.

Rear tampo's cheap looking, like some newer Matchbox cars.  Cartoony amirite.

I still love the hot rods, especially Fords.  "Steve Caballero" signature, skater & hot rod enthusiast.  Must be his car.

I've loved this Escort since Fast & the Furious 6(RIP Paul Walker).  Nice livery.

Here are the ZAMACs.  David also found the VW for me.  Both are keepers.  :)

Schuco Preorders

Wow.  More interesting preorders from amiami.  This time: Schuco.  

As usual, it's the tiny microscopic pictures from amiami website(srsly).  These aren't the 1/64 diecasts you see everyday....  Check out the link.  Amiami had bunch other cars on there.

Unfortunately, this white Mercedes police car was already sold out when I found the preorder.  These cars were generally in $16~$18 range & if I was still actively building my collection, I definite would have preordered some of this stuff, starting with the Mercedes at the top of the page!

Edit: Based on measurement & little bit of math by collector Apok on GTPlanet, they might be fairly accurate 1/64 scale models.

AmiAmi Preorder Alert!

On the preorder is the Initial D 4-car set.  Only downside is the "Hachiroku" with the white hood(don't watch the anime, don't know the significance....).  Still, for $63 USD + shipping, probably a decent deal for 1/64 collectors.  Kyosho releases are kind of rare anymore, even if my buddy Andy on GTPlanet's not that impressed with the R32 Skyline. :D

Reminds me of their Yoroshiku Mechadoc set.  :)
