Hot Wheels Kazy Kustom '55 Chevy Gasser

Getting caught up on some old items.  I don't have this one anymore, but a custom Chevy Gasser by Diecast Hall of Famer Kazy Kustom.

Hot Wheels ホットウィール Custom Car Show(Osaka, Japan May 28, 2006) '49 & '51 Merc

I paid $107.40 for this one(shipped).  It's been one of the hardest chased item for me in 2017.  I've seen it go as low as $80-something, as high as $150.  I was trying to go for the lowest number, but as they released just 2,000 of these, they don't come around a whole lot.  I was very happy when a eBay seller accepted my offer for $100 + shipping.

It says the paint was designed by hot rod designer "Coop".  I know nothing about nothing, so I couldn't tell you anything about this guy, except I fell in love with the purple '51 he designed.  I think purple can be the best color on a car when done right.  

Flat black '49 actually looks really cool.  Very high quality.

Flame tampo looks tad grainy/rough?  I'd still make this purchase all over again though.  It's such a sweet design & the chrome looks amazing!  :)

Only 2,000 sets.  I have few of these Hot Wheels Japan/RLC sets, but this one has spectacular art on the box & the cars are stunning!

Tomica Gran Turismo 2 Set

I used to be a big Gran Turismo fan.  In fact, I learned much about these toy cars & this hobby on the world's largest Gran Turismo website.  Gran Turismo, GT2, then GT3....  Good times.  They kinda lost me with all the delays on GT4, then beyond.  I was all about Call of Duty after that.  :/

Anywho, the wonderful Gran Turismo Tomica cars!

I like the screen shots from the game's vehicle selection menu, inside the box cover.  Nice touch.

Tomica Suzuki Alto

"Every third Saturday is a Tomica Day"....  That's what the red thing in the corner says.  Is that their release schedule or something?  Interesting.....

Well, today we got something different.  These Altos are not from my collection, but they belong to my buddy Jarrod.  Lot of times, our taste in 1/64 cars are very similar, but sometimes.... they are not. lol

White one is the introductory "special" color release.

I was just thinking.  For Suzuki, maybe it's cheaper to paint all liftgate same color.  For Tomica, that probably costs more.  Hehe.
