I like Super Chromes.....

I like Super Chromes.  Before I started selling off my collection, I had both Super Chromes Morris Mini(carded & loose).  I even have the Ice Cream Truck from the set.

When one of the collectors from GTPlanet posted his haul one day, saw a brand new Super Chromes as a mainline...... and one of my favorite castings Custom Dodge Van, I'm not gonna lie.  This non-collector was pretty stoked. lol

This Tricera Truck casting is for one of my nephews.  Little kids like weird castings like this.  Shark Bite, that Piranha car, they eat that stuff up, no pun intended.  Very cool vintage JDM, old American Muscle, nothing.  Casting resembling animals, dinosaurs, these guys really get up for those.  :(

Anywho, Super Chromes Custom Dodge Van's for me.  Our family used to have I think '78 Dodge Van when I was a kid.  A conversion van with a TV & VCR, recliner, I thought it was the coolest thing.  Decades later, I still adore this ugly van(beautiful casting by Mattel though).  ;)

Also wanted to share couple other items from Walmart.  If I was still collecting, I'd have bought these:

Always wondered what these Ford vans looked like before the re-release.  Not many of these showed up used on eBay/TTP when I was buying, and when they did, very poor pictures.  This one here actually looks really nice!

On the way home.......

No new Kemeri Skyline, or 70th Anniversary Honda Civic for me, but picked up couple of neat cars on the way home tonight at Walmart.  First is the "IROC and Roll" series 85 Chevrolet Camaro.  These types of releases cost over $2, but what can I say.  This car was my childhood crush & it's one of my favorite mainline castings.  :)

*Correction: "IROC and Roll" wasn't the name of the series.  Apparently, series is being referred to as the "Decades", or 50 Year Anniversary.  It seems to be a Walmart Exclusive though I'm not 100%....

Speaking of favorites, this one... No, not the Chevy Citation, but I have a soft spot for Demolition Derby cars, especially by Johnny Lightning.  It was..... *checks receipt*  $5.97.  Oh my god, that's what I was afraid of.  Still, car is neat as hell.

Sorry for yet another lame & lazy post.  I do have something special to share, hopefully sometime this week.  I've been busy + my passion for these little cars aren't what they used to be.  Fear not, I shall return.  :p

Johnny Lightning 1965 Chevrolet Texaco Tow Truck

This one was $9.89(shipped) from eBay.  Stylish card, stylish brand, and uber stylish vintage tow truck.  Well.....  Kind of.  This one came with the rust/distressed effect & usually, something like this is kinda neat for rust effect:

Before I bought this Johnny Lightning tow truck, I didn't realize that this had rust/distressed effect applied also......  and unfortunately, it's poorly done enough that, in my opinion, truck would've looked better with just stock paint job.  You guys be the judge:

Still, not bad for under $10(shipped), right?  It's also limited to 1,800.

Johnny Lightning 1965 VW Police/Polizei Transporter

Got this one at Walmart, years ago.  I was relatively green collector(no pun intended lol), but I did well here I think.

I like these Polizei livery cars.  It reminds me of old Tomica German police cars from when I was a kid.
