Another Amazon(Japan) botchery.  They mailed it in a bubble envelope.  Result:

Displaced steering wheel.  Car was $14.15, shipped.  Seller & I agreed on a $3 refund.  My mistake.  Steering wheel snapped & it's lot harder than I thought trying to put it back in place.  Anywho, pics:

It's really rough around the edges.  This is as rough as I've seen a TLV.  Oh, well.  You can't win them all.  :(

Matchbox Premiere Collection Toyota Supra

Matchbox Premiere Collection Toyota Supra

Do you know how many millions of people live in the U.S.?  Me neither!  But the point is, there are only 25,000 of these "Premiere Collection" Supras in existence.  Yeah.  Nowhere near enough to go around every American.

Here's the rub:  I doubt anybody actually want them.  lol  We need more quality Mk IV Supras in 1/64.  One of my favorite sports cars from the 90's!

Tamiya 1/64 Nissan Skyline GT-R(R32)

Tamiya 1/64 Nissan Skyline GT-R(R32)

My only one of two Tamiyas.  Finish on this one's actually pretty good.  Well detailed.  Supra is the one I like, but I think Tamiya actually did a better job with this one.  Especially with the metallic paint.  Tomytec should be taking lessons from these guys.  Fairly natural looking paint, considering scale.  Sorry, I bring it up only because I am a HUGE TLV fan.  *wink wink*  Enjoy the pics:

No.

No, sir.

It's not 1/24 scale & I did not put it together after painting the individual parts myself.

Tamiya?  Minicar?

I know, right?  WTH, but here it is.

I actually had this car for looong time.  I bought this + R32 Skyline on eBay in my earlier days of collecting.  In Japan, Tamiya is a powerhouse brand in toy shops & model shops.  But even then, I think it's only in regards to plastic models, RC's(remote control) & Mini Yonku...  Mini 4WD.  I don't know what they call them in the international market, but they are little motorized buggy cars that race on tracks.

Tamiya certainly put in the effort here....... but Kyosho; the rival RC brand, actually committed to this segment, and I think Tamiya's inexperience really show.  This car is bit rough around the edges.

Still, it's black Supra.  I'll take what I can get when it comes to this one.  While it's a very popular JDM car, I've never seen one from the premium brands like Kyosho & TLV.  Maybe another obscure brand like Tamiya has/had them on the market, but if they did, I've never seen it. Pics:

Doors open also, but I think so little of opening doors I didn't even think to take pictures of them.  My bad.

This little guy was released along with the "RS" in racing livery.  At first, I thought the RS with Ralliart livery would be epic, but with stock wheels & everything, it just looked like a Toyota Camry with a race car livery.  At least to me, little bit odd.

While I only preordered the RS version, after sort of a letdown with that car, I decided to get the black one, which...... after checking out the internet pics, sort of grew on me.

With any TLV purchases now, I study the pictures before committing to one for any metallic paint flakes.  These things doesn't seem to bother most collectors.  It bugs me big time.  The reason is very simple:  TLV is 1/64.  These flakes are not.  I'd guess that they may be correct for 1/18 scale....  Maybe still too big.  Anyway pics:

One of the TLV collectors on GTPlanet mentioned this sunroof thing.  Username Group B, he's helped me out by participating in the "Our First TLV" feature before.  He wasn't that excited about it.  I tend to agree.  Looks really cheap & odd to me.  Awkward looking where it is.

It's not bad.  If it just had plain black paint job & no sunroof, it would've been a killer release though.  Their first Galant's still the coolest & by far.
