Spark - Porsche 956 No.1 Winner Le Mans 1982 J. Ickx - D. Bell
Last couple of months, I've had missing mail, even missing packages(and I have a P.O. Box!). Month of July isn't starting off great either. I've had bunch of stuff damaged, thankfully mostly just cases on the outside, with cars surviving unscathed. One exception was this Porsche. Pieces from busted up display did result in one noticeable scratch on the car. I'm not a fan of the USPS right now. I even made this tweet as a joke:
@USPS Exclusive Release of Porsche 956 by Spark. I think it's the recreation of scene from "Gone in 60 Seconds", driving thru the showroom.😥 pic.twitter.com/mPhpjv9uI1 — Minicar Pics 1/64 (@MinicarPics164) July 4, 2017
Just in case you are too young to get the "Gone in 60 Seconds" reference(rolleyes), this is the scene:
Anywho, pics:
Jason from GTPlanet gave us a heads up on this. Very cool base attachment design used by Spark. Screws, and plastic adapter pieces suck real bad amirite. Check out the link, he has way better pictures on this. Too bad mine was totally ruined by U.S. Mail. *tear*
Spark went ahead without licensing to use Rothmans name($$$? Tobacco?). I feel like it could've been a pretty special release with their name on the car. Still very cool release, and has decent detailing. I think the quality's almost comparable to Kyosho models.
Thank You Crumple Zone - Tomica Limited Vintage NEO LV-N151a 1998 Nissan Skyline GT-R 40th Anniversary Autech Version
Thank you United States Postal Service. My shipment from AmiAmi containing TLVs & other goodies made couple of detours thanks to USPS, and after I finally "negotiated" the package away from my local post office(they couldn't find the package first couple of requests), what you see in the pic is how some of the contents looked inside the package. I'm just glad the car was okay inside, you should see the Spark Rothmans Porsche 956(next up).
Controversy 2!
Above is how the car looks in real life. I knew nothing about the car, but "Autech" in the name suggested that this Skyline was some aftermarket tuned version, so I was interested. Until I saw this pic online:
WTF. And as some of you know, I have a problem with TLV's glitter-like paint job. I mean look at the above pic of the real life car, its paint job, then the TLV version. 1/1 version has beautiful, smooth metallic paint job. Now the paint on the 1/64 TLV car..... gross, but I digress.
Anywho, I saw this post on GTPlanet by GroupB, and it really changed my mind enough to do a u-turn on the decision to shop this car again. I'm glad he changed my mind:
Rear detailing was little bit better than what we saw in the stock photo of the TLV's demo. It's now easily one of my favorite TLVs. I'm just sorry that box is all smashed. :(
God, those rims amirite.

M2 1959 VW Double Cab Truck(USA Model)... I'd call it a camper?
Odd name, as it looks like a camper conversion, or RV to me? Top of the box says 2,000 pieces, so there aren't that many around. I think I saw three models with different paint jobs, and I liked this one the best. Very unique casting. I bet Bertrand from Sixty Four Ever would dig this.
Is it cornering? No, it's an uneven stance. :D
Compensated angle for the tilt.
You can always count on M2 to offer us something different!

GreenLight Mijo Exclusive BRE Edition 2015 Nissan GT-R(R35)
I'm a tool. Tool who's let down by the quality of GreenLight cars, also their endless milking of existing castings...... then they put "BRE" livery on a casting I'm not a fan of, and I'm there. Again!! lol
Not a quality piece, not like the Advan version I posted back in December. Since it's a Mijo exclusive, you'll never see it at local retailers like Toys R Us, or Walmart. I got mine on eBay for $14(shipped).
