I think these things are based on a popular facebook game? Since they reminded me a lot of the Japanese Choro-Q, I did pickup myself a handful.

Yup, you are right, although the original Car Town is now a deceased car game; the game was discontinued in 2014 by its original producers, so now it's Miniclip who has a similar game in the form of "Car Town Streets".
ReplyDeleteThe game's style was perhaps inspired by Choro-Qs, after the latter also had several videogames for the Playstation and the Playstation 2, so they are quite similar franchises... We could think of Car Town models as "American Choro-Qs", really. At least they are easier to purchase that normal Choro-Q models...
