Kyosho Police Car Collection Mazda RX-7
Rotary power.
I think this is the only 1/64 FD RX-7 I have in my collection? It's odd, but you don't see them everyday.
The loudest Japanese patrol car in history, haha. Brap brap braaapp!
But yes, it is odd, the RX-7 is a very popular sports car in Japan, why aren't more companies doing 1/64 scale models of it? And when they do, it's usually another Initial D replica of RedSuns's own FD... Nothing against the show, I like it, but it gives me the impression that it is the only RX-7 people remember and like.
I forgot about the Initial D cars, but great point. It's not like the car wasn't popular back in the day either. It was right up there with the Supras, NSXs in the JDM popularity contest
Nice double posts, haha. But yes, 100% accurate sound effects, as fitting for a Wankel-powered car, right? (laughs)
Indeed, the RX-7 was one of the great JDM sports cars of the late '90s and early Noughties, it's odd that the car doesn't benefit from that as much as it should. Maybe the NSXs and GT-Rs take up too much of the plate, leaving the others with very little...
