Brock Racing Enterprises Hot Wheels RLC Datsun Blubird 510 + Regular RLC Datsun Bluebird 510

I have two RLC Bluebirds.  One is the standard RLC release & 3,000 of these were produced, but the first up is the Brock Racing Enterprises release.  Not to be confused with one of the 3,000 RLC Bluebird that were autographed at shows, separate 100 were released by BRE itself, featuring dual-autograph from the Team Owner/Manager Peter Brock & Championship Driver John Morton.  From their website:

"We worked with Mattel months ago on a new BRE Datsun 510 model for their special Red Line series. In checking in recently to see when they would be launched we found that Mattel had made them available exclusively for pre-purchase to their Red Line Club Members. The entire 3000 production volume sold out immediately, to be shipped in January. They will never be made available publicly. BRE however will still receive their limited number of units. This is your opportunity to get this model here even though Mattel never made it available to the general public.

As this model is so exclusive, we're going to offer it autographed by both team owner and manager Peter Brock and Championship driver John Morton. Only our 100 models will be signed (just a reminder: we pay the people that sign our products for their autographs). By comparison, the last Hot Wheels BRE Datsun 510 model (not the special Red Line series), unsigned, are now selling on the resale market for more than $50."

Of course, that Vintage Racing version is more like $100+ now.  I paid $76.95(shipped) for my dual-auto RLC Bluebird released by BRE, but even the standard RLC one's been pushing double that, so it's been a pretty nice addition to my collection.  :D  Pics:

BRE shipped their cars with a card, magnet + pen.  Nice service.

Autographs

As many RLC Hot Wheels collector know, their cars have oval/oblong hologram sticker on the back of the card indicating their serial number.  These BRE special releases do not, and are instead blank(see top left of the pic).

While I am an RLC member, thanks to their glitchy website & the decision to hold their sale at 9am on Tuesday(if you have a real job, you are @^%#*d), I did miss out on this sale.  While I ended paying nearly $50 in the secondary market for my next one(standard release, #'d to 3,000), since now they are going for $140~$150, I'm no longer sore about it.  :p

When I first saw the pics of this car, I wasn't too sure about these "neo classic" hot wheel wheels?  I kinda like them little bit now.  They have vintage hot wheels style to them.
