Tomytec Choro-Q Zero: Skyline Super Silhouette

Choro-Q Zero Skyline Super Silhouette

These things were known as "Penny Racers" in the West.  Choro-Q's been around since I was just a kid(a LONG time).  They were just cheap plastic pull-back cars.  Maybe few years ago, I discovered that the brand was still alive & well.

This Choro-Q is from the "Zero" line, which according to the Japanese Wikipedia is the premium line that started in 2011.  These cars feature higher & more authentic detail.

I'm not a Choro-Q collector, but I've had few of these things lying around, and since started buying TLVs from AmiAmi, I've picked up few more of these things here & there as well.  The first post dedicated to Choro-Q will be my new favorite: Tomica Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette race car.

Why "Penny" racer name?  Penny of course is a one-cent coin.  That ugly bracket in the rear is actually used to hug a coin in the back to perform tricks.
