Pretty neat car, but I think I passed on this car initially because in the original issue, the yellow one I wanted didn't have sunroof, or something trivial like that. I was sort of glad I put it off, because the new one is a canvas top with a luggage bag on the back. Little stuff can go long way with the silly collectors. :D

Hot Wheels Modern Classics: '83 Silverado
Another classic Chevy Silverado. Like with most classic hot wheels Silverados, Modern Classics can go for lot of money....... unless you are willing to settle for loose one with a dented front windshield. ;)
You could barely tell that little blemish on the windshield. This baby was $35, shipped.

トミカリミテッドヴィンテージ TLV-NEO 日本車の時代 1980年代のターボ車 4MODELS/Tomica Limited Vintage Nihonsha no Jidai(Japanese Car Era) 1980's Turbo Age Vehicle Set
$87. That's how much this set set me back. $$$.
While it's not "impossible", this is one of the scarce TLV sets. TLVs are kind of hard to come by in the States anyway, but these are especially hard to find. When you do find it, again, $$$. But the set being rare & the exclusive paint jobs(at least couple of them) makes this a desirable set to many TLV collectors, myself included.
Here are the cars:
1979 Nissan Cedric 200 Turbo S
1982 Toyota Carina 1800 GT-TR
1982 Isuzu Gemini Diesel Turbo LG
1982 Mazda Cosmo Rotary Turbo Limited
Early 2015, TLV started up a series called "日本車の時代/Nihonsha no Jidai/Japanese Car Era", some of you may have heard of. There was some confusion when this series started with this red Datsun truck as the #2 in the series....... Where the heck is the first!? According to TOMYTEC, this Turbo set released back in 2011 was the first of the series. It actually says "Nihonsha no Jidai I" right on the box. lol
Kyosho Yoroshiku MechaDoc Toyota 2000GT/京商 よろしくメカドック 女暴小町 トヨタ 2000GT
I got this from Japan Booster for $30, shipped. What a deal for a box set of six cars.
I already had the Celica XX(double "X") & the 240ZG from the series. Got them loose on eBay. Those two were the cars I had to have. I was bit taken by the low quality of the cars, but considering the deal I got(I want to say little over $20-something for both.), I didn't care all that much. Sought after car of the set is the CR-X. But being fan of the manga as a kid, I knew that this Kyosho CR-X, even with the correct paint-job & rear wing, it was a front wheel drive CR-X. Not the midship/RWD from the story. For $30 for the whole thing though, I was like "why not?".
Here's the surprise. While I bought the set mainly for the CR-X(this car alone used to go for WAY over $30 by itself), when I finally got around to opening the box nearly two months later, it was the Toyota 2000GT that got all my attention.
Quality is great, casting seems perfect to me. If TLV did 2000GT today, I doubt they do much better job.
Great 1/64 representation of a true classic.
Tomica Limited Vintage Neo: LV-N52b Nissan Civilian Police Mobile Inspection Vehicle
They call this the "inspection" bus, but this is the type of bus utilized by police at checkpoints & roadblocks, so I'm not too fond of that description. More like interrogation bus, if you ask me. j/k Perhaps mobile unit, hq, or checkpoint bus....... I digress. I guess.
It's evident in the last pic how the front bumper is coming loose. Shipping damage. Thankfully, the Amazon seller made it more than right. They gave me 50% off on everything in the order, this bus came out to be I think about $4, shipped. It was under $9(shipped) before the discount. :D
