Hot Wheels Garage: '67 Ford Bronco....s from the Walmart 30-Car Set + Ford vs. GM Set

Hot Wheels Garage: '67 Ford Bronco walmart ford vs gm set

Previous post was on the Dodge Power Wagon I really liked.  I like these Broncos almost as much.  There is something to those meaty real riders on lifted trucks.

Red one is from the Ford vs. GM set, and green from the Walmart 30-car set.

Here's something you don't see everyday.  Outside the "Garage" release, I think there is just one convention release & that's it.  It was in spectraflame pink, too.  No thanks.

This black/orange truck is by far my favorite Power Wagon, and it was part of the 30-car set available exclusively at Walmart.  I got mine from a outlet store for something like $39.  What a deal, as all 30 cars in the set were real riders that generally sold for $3 apiece.

Love the orange wheels.

No more Ferrari Hot Wheels for while, thanks to the exclusive license awarded to the May Cheong Group.  Expect to see only Maisto & Bburago Ferraris, who are owned by May Cheong.  Maisto & Bburago are often considered the least 'appealing' 1/64 diecasts, so this move by Ferrari has caused much frustration in the collector community.

While Mattel held the rights from the 1999 ~ 2015, Kyosho famously worked around it by making their minicars require simple assembling.  This let them sell Ferrari cars in 1/64 scale during the Mattel era.  I hope for such loophole again, but I've yet to hear anything.  Shucks.

Tomica Limited Vintage Neo: LV-N09b Isuzu Bus Model BU04 Iwate Prefecture Transit + LV-N23f Hino RB10 Tokyu Bus

My first post on a bus!
Tomica Limited Vintage Neo: LV-N09b Isuzu Bus Model BU04 Iwate Prefecture Transit

Some of us get a special vibe from these things, at least in 1/64 scale.  Of course, we are not talking about some poor quality no-name toy bus, or Mattel buses scaled to fit inside the three-inch plastic bubbles.  Absolutely no offense meant to those collectors who prefer them(you should collect what "you" like), but I think it's fair to say that demand in them are very small.

For me, TLV buses are in the same class as TLV Coca~Cola trucks that comes with totes of coke bottles, or the super coveted Super Silhouettes.  TLVs have few models that almost feels like a departure from the rest of 1/64 cars & trucks.  Original MSRP also often happen to be in the $30~$40 range, but it's really in the features(removable hood, coke bottles), level of detail, or in the sheer size that makes them so unique to many TLV collectors.

I believe I have five TLV buses.  This one, two Tokyu buses(from my hometown), Keioh & Nagoya.  I'm not gonna lie, this Iwate bus is the first to feature, because I'm just going through my pics on photobucket, and this one is the first I've ran into.  lol

Edit: Just discovered the Tokyu bus:

I have foggy recollection of this bus from my toddler-hood.  I suspect that this was the same exact bus that used to run in my town when I was really young.  By the time I was in elementary school, they had the modern buses not that different than the ones we see today.

You may have noticed, I struggled to fit these larger vehicles onto my small Tomicarama diorama set.  I have since expanded the set, so I do plan on taking more pics of these buses.  Stay tuned.  :)

BONUS:

Here are the pics of the LV-N51a Nissan Civilian that belongs to the collection of Spacegoat from the GTPlanet.  I've yet to have one of these buses in my collection, so I appreciate him letting me feature his bus.  :)

Hot Wheels Oil Can: '59 Cadillac

Hot Wheels Oil Can: '59 Cadillac black box 100% collectibles

This is a M2 territory, isn't it?  Usually, M2 & Mattel are two different animals, but here, I think this is as close as I've seen them come.

Similar to the likes of Hot Wheels Collectibles/Black Box, this Caddy is bit more classier than the hot wheels you get from your local retailer.

This one is a bit harder to come by.  It was special ordered for me by Japan Booster.  I can't say enough good things about this eBay store.  Akiyo is the man behind the operation, and by my observation as hot wheels/minicar collector, I noticed that he:  a) is on the mission to provide & share the product he truly loves with the world(in this case, TLVs).  b) finds anything less than a 100% is unacceptable in customer service.

Truly, you may be able to find an store equal to Japan Booster, but you won't find any better, not in this business.  Another great thing about them is that they make the older, hard-to-find cars available to TLV collectors outside Japan.  There was one car that he was unable to obtain for me(pricing was too high from the local vendor/market bidding), and John from Lamley Group SO did come through to help me out, but that's for another post.  ;)

I think I have just another one of these castings?(white)  TLV seem to really excel in little cars(kei-cars).

TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE 1/64 LV-111b NISSAN CABALL1900

I hate to say it, but this one was a impulse buy.  I was buying bunch of TLVs from Japan Booster, and it somehow ended up in the eBay shopping cart.

I guess it's not that bad.  At least it's a very high quality model.

I fell in love with this IMMEDIATELY.  I want to say that I found this locally, after much drooling on the computer monitor at online photos.  Only thing is, until just this evening, I had no idea that this thing existed in real life.  Naturally, tonight was the night to post this one.

I bow down to you, M2 Machines......

Edit:  Comment left below by the gentleman who designed it mentions the back.....  I was putting this post back together today(after Photobucket photo hijack), and I realized that I don't have any picture of the back of this trailer.  I have another trailer just like it here, if you'd like to see the back.  It's the very last pic.  Sorry about that!
